A kitchen installation is really five trades working in a fixed sequence. The electrician has to first-fix before the plasterer. The plasterer before the units go in. The units before the worktop can be templated. The worktop before the final plumbing connections. Get the order wrong and the whole job stalls, waiting on someone who is now on another site.
That is why most delayed kitchen fits are a scheduling failure rather than a workmanship one. We handle the full sequence in-house: strip-out and disposal of the old kitchen, any wall alterations, plumbing and waste runs, electrical first fix, plastering, unit assembly and installation, worktop templating and fitting, splashbacks and tiling, appliance installation, flooring, and final connection and testing.
If you have bought a kitchen from a supplier who quoted separately for fitting, it is worth comparing scope rather than headline price. Supplier fitting quotes frequently exclude plumbing alterations, electrical work, tiling, flooring and making good — which between them account for a large share of what the job actually costs.

Each range has its own quirks — IKEA’s rail-mounted carcasses, Howdens’ trade-only supply route, Wren’s rigid-build units — and knowing them before arriving on site is what keeps a fit to schedule.
Where you would rather not source the kitchen yourself, we can specify and supply it as part of the project. That puts the units, the installation and everything else under a single point of responsibility, so there is no argument about whether a problem is a supply fault or a fitting fault.
Laminate, solid timber, quartz, granite and composite. Kitchen worktop installation in stone works differently from laminate: the worktop is templated only after the units are fitted and levelled, then manufactured and installed on a later visit. That gap is normal and it is in our programme from the start, not sprung on you halfway through.
Waste and supply relocation, appliance connection, new circuits, sockets, extractor and lighting. New circuits and consumer unit work are notifiable under the building regulations and are certified on completion.
Where the kitchen is moving into new space rather than being replaced in the existing room, we handle the structural build and the kitchen fit as a single project. Not every project is a full replacement. Replacing doors and worktops on sound carcasses, or upgrading a single run, is often the sensible option and we are happy to quote for it. We will tell you if your existing units are worth keeping.
Not every tired kitchen needs ripping out. If the carcasses are sound, square and still on their feet, replacing the doors, drawer fronts, worktops and handles gets you most of the visual change for a fraction of the cost and about a quarter of the disruption.
It stops being worth it when the carcasses are water-damaged at the base, when the layout itself is the problem, or when you want to move the sink or hob. At that point you are paying to keep something that is already limiting the result.
We will tell you honestly which side of that line your kitchen falls on when we come and look at it. It is a smaller job for us either way, and you are better served knowing before you commit.
The most common complaint about kitchen installations is not bad workmanship. It is the gap in the middle — the week where nothing happens because the electrician has finished and the tiler is on another job. Having the trades in-house is what removes that gap.
We also quote for the whole job rather than the visible part of it. A quotation covering units and worktops but excluding a moved waste pipe, two new circuits and making good the plaster is not a cheaper kitchen. It is an incomplete quotation, and the difference turns up later as variations.

A straightforward like-for-like replacement usually takes one to two weeks. A fuller project involving moved services, plastering and new flooring typically runs two to three weeks. If you are having stone worktops, add roughly one to two weeks between the units being fitted and the worktop being templated, manufactured and installed. We give you a programme with the quotation so you know which of these applies to your job.

It is worth having us look at the plan before you finalise the order, because supplier designs occasionally assume services can be moved more easily than the building allows.
Largely, yes. There is no realistic way to strip out and refit a kitchen while keeping it usable. We normally suggest setting up a temporary arrangement elsewhere in the house with a kettle, microwave and fridge, and we tell you at programme stage exactly how long the gap will be so you can plan for it rather than discover it.
Yes, both are included in our quotations rather than left for you to arrange. New circuits and consumer unit work are notifiable under the building regulations and are certified on completion. If your project involves gas, we will tell you clearly whether that element is handled in-house or by a Gas Safe registered engineer we work with.
Supplier fitting quotes usually cover assembling and installing the units. They frequently exclude moving plumbing or electrics, plastering, tiling, flooring, disposal of the old kitchen and making good afterwards. Ours covers the full job. When comparing the two, look at the scope rather than the headline figure — the gap is often larger than the difference in price.
Usually yes, though it depends on where the existing waste and supply runs are and what is beneath the floor. Moving a sink any real distance means new waste runs laid to the correct fall, which is straightforward on a suspended timber floor and considerably more involved on a concrete slab. We check this at survey and price it properly rather than assuming.
Yes — quartz, granite and composite. Stone worktops are templated after the units are installed and levelled, then manufactured and fitted on a later visit, typically one to two weeks afterwards. That gap is unavoidable and it is built into the programme from the start. In the meantime we can fit a temporary work surface if you need one.
Yes, please clear everything out of the units and off the worktops before the first day. We handle removing and disposing of the units, appliances and worktops themselves. If you are keeping any appliances, tell us in advance so we disconnect and set them aside rather than treating them as waste.
